How to Calibrate your Screening

This step is crucial for obtaining accurate screenings. One must realize that the camera position is best "Mid Pelvis Height" so it is recommended that the clinician kneel down and aim the camera mid pelvis. By doing so, a more uniform picture evaluation is obtained. While you do not have to follow this advice, you can simply stand and tilt the iPad, iPhone, or iPod touch, by doing so, your patient's upper body will be disproportional in size. This is simple optics 101. So it is up to the clinician. At minimum, we recommend that the device's calibration marker for vertical turn green prior to obtaining the image. Be sure to then center and calibrate the height of the patient as per this video.
